I’m Mari Yamashita who is Ayurvedic Therapist and run Cook Islands style spa in Kyoto Japan.

I’ve already missed Cook Islands atmosphere since I came back to Japan for 2 weeks ago.

Last Novenmber, Mr.Tauraki who is DJ in PMN COOK ISLANDS talked me on the zoom.

PMN COOKISLANDS is a Radio Station for Cook Islands Maori in Auckland New Zealand.

Actually,I received a message from him at night 18th March.

Half an hour after I receiving the message, I was suddenly invited to talk live on the radio program.
I’m so surprised that I received the message.

Japan was at 9 pm at that time.

I was taking off my makeup and not only voice but also camera on・・・
I hurriedly wore myself into an island girl.

My background is in Tiavevae (traditional embroidery ).

I would be happy please watch this video!

I thought the screen was off but it was on the screen since before we talked.

I write an overview when I talked on radio show.

I’ve been to Cook Islands 5th time this time and I had a great week.

This photo is with owner of Rito Cook Islands who is making beautiful Virgin Coconut oil and great skincare products with Tamanu.

The local people is very friendly and helpful for me.

I also met some new friends in Rarotonga.

In Flying Turtle Cafe

I met the DJ’s daghter in Punanga Nui Market on Saturday.

She sell some lovely dresses that she made by handmade.

I LOVE the best local food “IKA MATA”
IKA MATA is raw tuna(SASHIMI) with Coconut milk and Lime juice.

“POKE” made from Banana and Papaya (PawPaw) with Coconut cream

and 100% Real Smoothies

They are very fresh taste that the only in the islands.

I experienced Night Paddle board tour with LED light and fire dance which KiteSup Cook Islands held .

The fire dance was great experienced for me for the first time.

I got a new words which the Cook Islands Maori language for this time.

They called Young Coconut name “Nu”.

and they say Aged Coconut “Akari”.

furthermore, they say “Uto” new leaf with Akari

I always use “Kuki Learning cards”.
It’s very useful when I learn the Cook Islands Maori.
